Dr. Ashok Kumar Sundramoorthy is a full Professor at the Dept. of Biomaterials and Prosthodontics, Saveetha Dental College and Hospitals, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS), Chennai. Before joining at SIMATS, Dr. Ashok was a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry, SRM University for more than five years. He was a Pos-Doc. Research Associate at the Department of Biological Systems Engineering, University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA for three years. He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, from May 2010 to August 2013, and in the Department of Materials and Minerals Resources Engineering, National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT), Taipei, Taiwan, from February 2009 to April 2010. He had extensive research experiences on the separation of carbon nanotubes, 2D materials, nanocomposites, and electrochemical sensors. He received his Ph.D. degree in engineering from the NTUT, Taipei, Taiwan, in January 2009. He has published more than 100 research articles and 6 review articles in international peer-reviewed journals. He has served as an Editor and a Co-editor for two books. Dr. Ashok is serving as the Associate Editor for Frontiers in Materials, Current Analytical Chemistry & Journal of Nanomaterials. His h-index is 33 with the total citation of above 3200. He has granted with three USA patents and one Indian patent. Four PhD students completed their PhD thesis under his supervision. More than 12 Master students completed their projects under Dr. Ashok guidance from various reputed universities of Tamil Nadu. He has received three major funding’s from DST and SERB with the total amount of 1.3 Cr.
